Volunteer at Heritage Square
The Commitment
Individuals may join the volunteer staff any time of the year, but must complete our volunteer training program before their one year anniversary. Volunteer training sessions take place bi-annually and include educational lectures regarding Los Angeles history, the history of Heritage Square, architecture, historic costuming, guiding, and interior design.
Volunteers are required to commit to Heritage Square for one year of service and become a paid museum member.
Get Started
For information about volunteer opportunities, call our Education Program Manager, Danelle, at (323) 225-2700 ext. 224 or send an email requesting information to dgarrison@heritagesquare.org.
The Need
Heritage Square Museum relies heavily on our volunteer staff. The Museum’s greatest need is volunteers to help with the museum’s weekend operations as historical interpreters and tour guides for the museum’s buildings.
However, we have many other opportunities for you to volunteer your services to our organization. Volunteers also assist at special events and programs, with gardening and landscaping, research, administrative services, collections management, and assisting with our educational program A Golden Vision.
