Sunday, May 20, 2012, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

It’s fun, it’s festive and it’s only one day a year!  Join Heritage Square Museum, the Lummis Home and Gardens, the Los Angeles Police Museum, Gamble House and the Pasadena Museum of History for the 23rd anniversary of Museums of the Arroyo Day celebrating the communities, history, culture and art found along the historic Arroyo Seco.

From 12 noon to 5 p.m. on May 20,thousands of Angelinos have experienced the diverse mix of art, architecture and history of the Arroyo Seco area found in the five unique history-based museums that preserve and perpetuate early Los Angeles life.  At Heritage Square Museum, there are self-guided tours, costumed interpreters, childrens’ period games and crafts, and storytelling by the San Gabriel Valley Storytellers.  Also during the day are period dancing and parlor games provided by the Victorian Tea and Dance Society, and a Spanish-American War emcapment presented W.E.S.T.

This year, MOTA Day is sponsored by YELP, the online review website that 45 million people visit monthly. If you’ve been to MOTA Day in the past, you can let others know about your experiences here.
