Here Walking to Heritage Square from the Gold Line. Visit Heritage Square Museum by Public Transit: Heritage Square is within walking distance from the "Heritage Square/The Arroyo" Gold Line Station at the corner of Pasadena Avenue and French Avenue in Highland Park. From the rail station, walk across Pasadena Avenue and then walk north to Carlota Street. Take Carlota Street north to Avenue 43. Walk east on Avenue 43 to Homer Street, then south two blocks on Homer street to the museum's entrance. Guests are welcome to also walk to the Heritage Square from the Southwest Museum Station, located on Marmion Way. Walkers should walk south on Marmion to Avenue 45, then walk east on Ave. 45 to Figueroa Street. Traveling south on Figueroa, turn left onto Avenue 43, walking east to Homer Street, then south two blocks on Homer street to the museum's entrance. (For some visitors, this station seems closer to the museum, however both stations are about equidistant from Heritage Square). Unfortunately, Metro Bus line 255, which was serviceable from the Heritage Square/The Arroyo Gold Line Station on Pasadena Avenue to the corner of Avenue 43 and Homer Street was re-routed to the USC Medical Center and Boyle Heights a few years ago. Heritage Square Museum would appreciate Gold Line riders in supporting our fight to re-establish a bus route to our museum from the station. Please contact the Metro Transit Authority (MTA) to express your concerns and support to re-establish the line. For information on LADOT "DASH" bus service, which serves Highland Park and Lincoln Heights cultural attractions on weekends, call (213) 582-9779. |
