Highlights:
Silent
and Classic Movie Nights,
held
on Saturday, July 10, 17, and 24, were a huge hit! Nearly 1,000
people joined us over the three nights as we
celebrated timeless movies and iconic actresses, such as Louise Brooks, Norma Shearer, Theda Bara, Joan
Crawford, Rosalind Russell, and
Joan Fontaine,
from Hollywood's Golden Era. Silent and Classic Movie
Nights was sponsored by
Vidéothèque.
We also thanks Hidden LA for
their support and promotion of the movie series.
Nearly
80 guests danced the evening away as the museum had its first Square
Dancing of the late 1800s
on Saturday, August 14. With Triple Chicken Foot and Caller Cory Marie, visitors
of all ages enjoyed listening to Old Time fiddle and
banjo tunes and learning American Square Dancing for nearly 2 hours. The museum
thanks Triple Chicken Foot and Cory Marie for a wonderful evening
of family-friendly music and dancing.
